Mobile search functions

In my experience, Logos has never given enough importance to the Help function. I have been using Logos for well over a decade, and help resources have always been second-rate. They are slowly improving but still lag behind many other commercial apps.

Current example - when I do a Bible search on my phone for the word "evidence," I get results that include "evident" and "evidently" as well as "evidence." This is not the same as the results when I search on my computer.

How do I get the results on my mobile app to be the same as on my computer? They should be the same, but they aren't.

I searched the help function on the mobile app, but it failed to provide any meaningful answer. Similarly, the help function on the desktop app was also useless.

I expect someone here knows the answer, but it should be easier to find than what I am experiencing.

    Hi @Rod Bergen

Current example - when I do a Bible search on my phone for the word "evidence," I get results that include "evident" and "evidently" as well as "evidence." This is not the same as the results when I search on my computer.

This, on desktop, makes use of the Match all forms option (described in the help file here)

Unfortunately, this control isn't available on mobile - and it seems to default to Match all forms being enabled. So I'm afraid we can't replicate the same search on mobile as on desktop.

I believe that Logos is interested in the trend toward the greater use of mobile devices vs desktop computers. In the absence of certain features in the mobile apps, some can be used from a mobile web browser, using the web app on app.logos.com. The control for search term forms is accessible this way.

That being said, let's hope that Logos will invest more into the mobile apps. As pointed out in another thread, the trend toward features living in the cloud is problematic. Having to rely more on the web app rather than a locally installed app would make that problem worse.

This indicates that the developers don't use the mobile app.

Thankfully, I generally use the desktop app. But this highlights the fact that the mobile app is a poor cousin to the desktop.
