How is logging done on Mac these days?

I have noticed - there are still instructions on downloading and using the Logos Logging Utility, which we have used for years.
But now, there is an Advanced setting (at least in Verbum/Mac), "Enable Logging". Is the Program Setting now sufficient, and the utility app is not needed anymore?

This is grayed out on my beta verbum/PC

This is only currently available in the beta version. I assume that when / if it ships to stable, the old style way of enabling it will no longer be needed. I expect, but am not sure, that - on Mac - the logging utility will still be used to actually collect logs.

Yes - as beta versions always have logging enabled and so it can't be changed when running beta.
