BUG: Cannot save favorites when off network

I am not sure if this is really a bug but this morning I found that in reading an offline book (Leading with Integrity - F Smith) on my iPad I could not save new favorites (bookmarks). The app simply rejected them. Another symptom was that I could advance page by page through the book but could not use the scrub widget at the top of the window, It kept replying "book not available"  . Both problems made reading the book harder than it should have been.  

The reason that I am not sure if this is really a bug was that at the time I had the 3G turned off but was connected to a Wi-Fi network that did not have any connection to the "real" internet.  Both problems cleared up when I got home and connected to my WiFi system.

FInally, I was running an older version, which upgraded as soon as I got home to V1.4.4 (414514), I don't know which older version I was running.
