Collection Based on Logos Subscription

I am running some workshops for beginners in using Logos. One of the issues that I'm running into is that I have a very large library, but my students will only have access to whatever subscription to they are on. I would like to create a collection in my library based on the three different subscription tiers. I asked Logos and they said that they do not have any dynamic tagging that would let me do this automatically, so I was wondering if anyone has created a collection based on their subscription.

I only tagged mine. But even if we created collections, wouldn't everyone's collection be different? Right now, I have 244 resources tagged as Logos Pro temporary licenses, but someone else with Logos Pro may have more or less because of the books they already own.

Yasmin, you're right. I'm trying to tag only those that Logos Pro itself gives access to. More importantly, I'm trying to create a collection that indicates what those who have only recently subscribed to Premium and haven't bought anything else have access to. That way I can tailor a tutorial and bible study session based on books I know for sure everyone has access to at any subscription level.

The xxx would be "temporary". But then we may already have temporary licenses that have nothing to do with a subscription (I have some of these). Unless you tag the subscription books as soon as you get them, or you can tell later by the add date (or, less reliably, the date updated), eventually it'll all be a mish-mash of temporary licenses.

Thank you for the help! I feel like the best thing is for Logos to indicate somehow in tags or something else what kind of license you have to each item in your library. Is it owned or is it part of a subscription that if stopped you would lose access.

For most people, the temporary license shows what one would lose if you stopped your subscription. For a few of us, we have additional temporary licenses such as SIL

One way you could do it… you could create another Logos account (or perhaps one of your students has signed up and would be a guinea pig), and then pay for a 1 month subscription. Make sure you add in the standard free books and things like Themelios. Then you could create a collection containing only that, and save it as a public document. You could switch the subscription from Pro to Premium and do it again, and then switch it to Max and do it again.

I'm assuming that it does allow you to switch immediately. I see that option for me, but I've never actually tried. It also may not work the same if you are on the 30 day trial.

OR… if you really wanted to take the time, you could always just add the books one by one from the listing of what's included.

I exported my library, sorted it by licence then by date and found that all the recent temporary resources were from my subscription, older temporary ones were those I had before.

At least then you'll know what additional resources came with your subscription.
