Link Set is not syncing my open books

Let me preface this post by saying I have intermediate level knowledge of how the Logos platform works when it comes to link sets. My morning devotional includes Spurgeon Morning/Evening and Calvin 365, ESV Bible, and Carson's New Bible Commentary. I set link set "A" to all open books yet when I click the scripture link in Spurgeon, the ESV responds as it should yet the Carson commentary is unresponsive. Also, when I change the date in either Spurgeon or Calvin, the other devotional responds accordingly sometimes and other times it doesn't. Please advise if this is a common problem and if there is a solution.

    I don't have the correct resources to check. However, the ESV Bible and the New Bible Commentary are indexed by Bible reference while Spurgeon and Calvin 365 are indexed by date … so they don't belong in the same link because they have nothing to sync on. I would need to have the resources and specific examples of why some links only work inconsistently. There are several reasons that could make this happen.
