Visual Filters not working

I recently went to a Logos subscription.

(v. 39.1.6)

When I create a new visual filter it shows up in the list of Visual Filters but not in the drop down menu in the bible. It is a simple filter: person:

Anyone experiencing this?

Hi @Mike Fowler - and welcome to the forums

It is a simple filter: person:

Do you mean the filter is just person: ?

If so, that isn't a valid filter - it needs to have a person associated with it such as person:Moses

If that's not the issue, please post a screenshot showing the Visual Filter definition

At the top of the filter you specify which Bibles and what range it applies to. I keep these quite restricted to cut down startup time. Does your cover the bible and passage you are looking at. Also, does your Bible have a reverse interlinear which is necessary for mapping the person tags into your Bible.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

What Bible are you using when the filter doesn't work … and how long did you allow for the first time loading of the data (matters only when you have just created the filter).

    M.J.

I had just created one for person:David using the same layout (All Bible Passages; All Passages; Your Bibles) and it worked.

I'll try using your suggested layout.

And the version I use is the NKJV. Ihave 25-30 visual filters that all work with it.

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Still not working.

The examples you showed above had person:Zadok and person:Absalom neither of which are valid search labels.

In the case of Zadok, for example, the name needs to be qualified:

It's always useful to try and get the details working in a Bible Search windows before creating the visual filter. Or creating the visual filter directly from a working search.
