Getting to default update channel

I called in to Customer Service today to make sure I had the latest version of Logos 4. I had Beta 10 and running "update now" came up with no updates found. We updated from the website and it seems Logos 4 has kept me on the update channel. Will just setting my update channel to default be a problem at this point?

So you're currently running the non-beta version, and you want to stay on non-beta? If so, you should set update channel to stable

No, I currently have the beta version and don't seem to be able to get the non-beta. I need help on something that seems more complicated than it should be.

Type in the command bar set update channel to stable
Click on the sync arrows when the sync completes...
Restart Logos
Check that the channel has changed
There are dangers to swapping between the channels - at some point a Beta may fork to a different file structure or tagging system or something odd that is not reflected in the Stable version for two of three releases.
If you swap from Beta to stable at that point then you might get real problems. However the Devs have only given a general warning about this as a possibility at some future time. I am sure that they would be posting warnings if we had reached that point.
I think the general wisdom is pick BETA or STABLE and stick there.

You can't downgrade Logos. So you can't go from 4.0b beta to 4.0a stable. If you're on 4.0b I'm afraid you're stuck there unless you completely reinstall. You should set update channel to default which will ensure that
you'll get all of the beta releases until 4.0b goes stable, then Logos
will automatically switch to the stable channel where you'll then stay.On the other hand, if you're stuck on 4.0 beta 10, then you ought to be able to upgrade to 4.0a with set update channel to default. If that doesn't work, just download and install this file, which is the latest stable version: http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LBS4MacInstaller/4.10.4.6199/Logos4Mac.dmg

Try manually downloading it from http://logos.com/logos4mac. The other advice you've been given pertains to users who have switched to the beta channel after downloading the GM version of Logos 4, and it sounds like this never happened for you.
