Using two windows accounts

Is it possible to have a "fresh " copy of Logos 4.1 on one windows account and have your regularly modified and marked up copy on another account? In other words if I turn off the internet in my program settings and then download another copy of Logos under a different account on the same computer, will it download with all my highlights, visual filters, notes, etc.?

If you installed your second copy of Logos with use internet off (I think it's in advanced when you install). Then sign in offline. Then go into settings and turn internet off, then the second copy should be completely clean and stay that way.

I am pretty sure that will work. I have just never run that setup. I know others are running a beta release on one windows account and a stable on another.

It should work as Mark has described. Of course you'll have a whole second copy of all the resources, since those are installed in each user's AppData\Local\Logos4 folder. But if you've got the disk space to spare, that shouldn't be an issue. Also running with Use Internet = No means you won't be able to update to new versions of the software, new resources you purchase, or updated resources/databases. As soon as you'd turn Internet usage back on to get those things, it would also sync all your highlighting and other settings that you'd wanted to keep separate. I think. I've never tried this. Maybe the people who are running the beta on one account and the latest stable release on another could give you better info about how it works.

True, but you don't need to turn internet on to get updates. If you type update now in the command bar, it will check for updates even if use internet is off.

Yes, but what about sync in that case? I am afraid he would get all synced stuff from the other installation. Or, do you think the command do not allow syncing?

P.S. I remember in the time of Private Beta there was a command to stop syncing.

This is an old thread, but if you type update now when the internet is set to off, Logos will check for updates, but still not sync.
