installation help needed—again

I recently purchased one of the larger base packages and had to find space on my hard-drive for the new installation. One of the programs I chose to uninstall was Logos 3 and all it's resources. During the uninstall the uninstaller froze, but did remove the software. I removed the resources manually.
I am not trying to install Jon Courson's Application Commentary but the installation software says I need to remove the previous installation first. I see nothing of Logos 3 anywhere.
How can I get these resources into Logos 4?

There are probably remnants of Logos 3 still left in your registry.
Jon Courson's Application Commentary is a Logos 3 (Libronix) product, so it is trying to reinstall the Logos 3 engine in order to let you install it. You probably should have just manually deleted the Logos 3 resources but not uninstalled the application, because it is sometimes still needed for installing old products. You will be able to get them into L4, but they have to be unlocked in your Logos account (on the servers) first using L3 (or by calling Customer Service) and then Logos 4 will recognize them and automatically download them for you.
Since the uninstall of Logos 3 didn't complete, you could try to manually delete all remnants of it from your registry if you know what you're doing. There is probably software available for cleaning out remnants of partially uninstalled software from your registry but I'm not well enough aware of any of them to recommend one.
In the meantime, you can always call Customer Service and read them the serial number over the phone, and they'll unlock it for you at their end. Then just restart Logos 4 and it should download automatically for you.

Thank you, Mark. Mission accomplished. Now I find though that the Courson Commentary is in Libronix 2.1. Do I have to install Logos 3 to get the job done?

I issued the scan command on the path to the resources within Logos 4 and the resources were found. I didn't have to install Logos 3, which was nice. Praise God!

Thanks for pointing that out, Mark. I learned something new. I've added a link to it in Tips from the Forum on the wiki.
