Notes shortcut that doesn't take you to the highlight annotations notebook?

I'm trying to find a way to incorporate using the Logos notes into my workflow. But the options I'm aware of currently for easily accessing a specific notebook make it unusable for my workflow.
I know the notes function and highlights are both annotation features and are thus tied together in many way. I have already spent considerable time finding out how to make all my highlights go into a "no notebook" notebook. I thought that would solve my problem - but it does not.
Here's my issue:
When I highlight a text and the "selection menu" comes up - if I click on the "note" option it takes me to the "no notebook" I've set up to hide my highlights. I don't want that one. That notebook is cluttered and visually too much.
And the "N" keyboard shortcut takes me to the cluttered highlight notebook.
However, if I highlight the same text and then right click, and then find the "add note" in the lengthy list of options, and click that - it will open up the notebook to the notebook I actually want my actual notes to go into. Just bluntly, I won't use this method. It's too annoying to have to click and then hunt for the option I want. When I want to add a note, I don't want to have to stop thinking about what I want to write to pay attention to clicking in a precise location. I want just a key click or two, maybe a slight mouse movement, and then to just be able to start typing my thoughts before I lose track of them.
Is there any easy - and I mean easy - way to add a note where the notebook that comes up is not the cluttered highlight one?
Is there any way to make, for example, the "N" shortcut go to the notebook I want it to go to? Or is there a way to change the note option in the selection menu go to the notebook I want?
Or, has anyone had any luck getting AHK to work in Logos for this or other things? I'm assuming Logos won't do what I want, so something like AHK could be a workaround - but I haven't investigated whether it'll work within Logos as it does with some of my other programs.
