Weird, MJ directing attention to a little known commentary

Please check out this book/series request and vote for Historic Faith Commentary Series — Logos Community . This is by the same author as the valuable and is an important addition early church fathers. Bercot is not a traditional scholar but is a very important example of a man who is not afraid to change his beliefs to follow what he sees as the evidence. This makes all his works worthy of our time.

Seems this one would be a tricky one. Most Fathers commentaries push back dogma and ignore the dissonance.
It be an intersting addition … I did get the Dictionary.
"If myth is ideology in narrative form, then scholarship is myth with footnotes." B. Lincolm 1999.

Exactly. I admit to being a rabid opponent of confirmation basis which is the primary support for many theological positions.

I’m really hoping the Historic Faith Commentary Series gets added to Logos because I’d love a new take on things. There’s already so much out there—like the Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture, the Blackwell commentaries, and others like them—but I think this could still shake things up for me. Bercot’s way of digging into the early church vibes, sticking to evidence over tradition, feels like it could open my eyes in a different way. I just hope it’s worth it with all the other options already around!
Titles impress people, obedience impresses God.
