I really find the crowdsourced lists of Bible verses on openbible.info to be quite helpful for topical search. I'm fairly new to using Logos and I would love to do this the Logos way to skip steps.
Any suggestions?
Hi @Juan Palm - and welcome to Logos and these forums
I really find the crowdsourced lists of Bible verses on openbible.info to be quite helpful for topical search.
What do these lists provide? What are you looking for?
Graham
I'm looking for Bible verses by topic.
For example, yesterday I did a search, "What does the Bible say about having a pastor?"
It's a bit of an obscure search that is not the kind of thing that you would see in a small topical reference, but the search yielded helpful results.
I use it for quickly finding the verses I am thinking of (but don't remember exactly), or checking to see if there are better — more concise verses to include in a Bible study. I especially find it helpful for things like you may find in Proverbs as there are often the same themes repeated, but some verses are clearer and easier to understand.
I am currently running 10 Full Feature Set.
I have a son who is starting seminary so I purchased him the Preaching Suite Feature set as a starting point for him so he would have tools to use without needing a subscription.
If you know a solution for these both scenarios, that would be greatly appreciated.
This is one of the times that having a subscription is really helpful!
On the left of the screenshot below is a result of a smart search with your search string, in the middle is a precise (non-subscription) search for pastor (which shows the word only occurs once in my Top 5 Bibles) and the Factbook entry on pastors showing a few other verses and some links to dictionaries
