Public Apology.

Hello, friends,
I am writing to sincerely apologize for my unfruitful behavior in the forums recently. Over the past few months, I have been struggling with anger while coming out of sin and alcoholism—battles that have, at times, brought out remnants of my "old man." Unfortunately, this led me to act unkindly and without charity toward those I disagreed with. Too often, I found myself jumping into theological debates with a combative spirit, posting harsh comments, and misusing this platform in ways that were neither edifying nor Christlike. As a result, I was rightly banned.
By God's grace, Jason and the staff at Logos have given me a second chance, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to grow in humility and reflect Christ better—even when I strongly disagree with others.
I want to sincerely apologize to anyone who was affected by my past behavior. I deeply regret any offense or harm my words may have caused.
Moving forward, I am committing to a simple rule: before I click "send," I will reread my post and ask myself, Does this glorify the Lord? Is it edifying to the person I am engaging with?
On a side note, I recently reached four months of sobriety from alcohol—praise God!
Thank you for allowing me to be part of this community again.
James Johnson.

Welcome from one who was delivered from that addiction more than 50 years ago. Praying for you.

As my son would say, "no worries." Others in the forums have had a rocky start as well and it was soon forgotten.

@James Johnson Thank you for a lovely example of the humility and self-denial to which Jesus calls us all. I struggle constantly with my so very familiar demon Pride, and his helpers Anger and Self-Righteousness, and how I so very often see only what I think is RIGHT instead of what is loving.
Thank you again for reminding me of what I, too, need to keep working on constantly, and I pray that God will bless you and help you walk your path of humility, love and sobriety one day at a time.

James - congrats on your sobriety! That is an accomplishment to be celebrated and I know you are giving the Lord credit for helping you.
You are forgiven - I encourage you to embrace the plans God has for you.
Also, thanks for setting a good example for everyone in your humility and confession.

Welcome back! I’m not sure why the banning, though. This is the very thing that is making many Accordance users leave their forums and the software.
Maybe @Jason Stone (Logos) might consider like a Snoozed status for like a week or two where serious offenders won’t have access to post on the forums. That could extend to a month if the behavior continues or in some extreme cases maybe ban for 6 months to a year. Something like that, but not lifetime ban. That can definitely backfire on the company.

Welcome back, and thank you for your humility. May we ALL remember that God is God and we are not. Congrats on your sobriety… one day at a time, fella!

I am reminded of “ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” - Romans 3:23. And I am also reminded of “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” - James 4:10
And I look at myself and thank God for His infinite mercy.
