TIP OF THE DAY 132: Time by covenant and dispensations; Excursus: classification of law — Logos Community

This sort of information would be useful in Logos. Have you considered putting entries like this into a shared Notes file? That would make the information searchable and findable by Logos searches where it could come handy.

Would you be interested in a shared file - notes or personal book - to preserve user generated materials? Would you prefer a personal book or a note file? Why? Provide examples of data you think should be in it preferably in a format that allows us to prototype the idea.

Or would you prefer that Logos maintain such a resource as they have better indexing capabilities and should provide some maintenance capabilities?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I prefer that Logos maintain such a resource as they have better indexing capabilities.

xn = Christan man=man -- Acts 11:26 "....and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch".

Depending on Logos to maintain a resource implies that they dedicate staff (and so, budget) to maintaining it. Given the many things that compete for budget, it is unlikely that this would make the cut.

I would think a Notes file easier to build and maintain and somewhat convenient to navigate, but does not sharing give ability to everyone to modify it? If just about anyone can do that, it could quickly become a mess.

I don't mind a PBB though my limited experience with them is that it's more work to maintain than Notes. The main issue (and it's not a big one) is to see valuable information get lost on the forums. Unless… Logos somehow connected the app to forum topics. The Help Center has a Community button, but as far as I can tell, it only works a link. If there were a true way to include forums in searches, that could a way to access information from Logos.

Not sure if any of this is realistic and would produce a satisfying solution. It could just be a nice idea that goes nowhere or would en up underused.

I find building PBBs tedious to actively develop. Notes are good, but I would like the ability to actively develop my own concordance and commentary, with links and PBB like capabilities, without having to write in Word and constantly compiling.
