See the image below. I don't see a toggle in the settings to change it. It's getting to be a nuisance. Please either (a) disable the popup after the first few searches, or (b) allow users to show it or not.
I agree this needs to be looked at eventually. This pop-up blocks the first result for about 7 seconds, which seems too long. I understand that the first few times such a long display is helpful, but after awhile it becomes obnoxious.
The pop-up does help to prevent confusion, as one might not always anticipate or immediately realize the switch to Precise search. But I would prefer a display of 3 seconds over 7.
I don't have that specific problem, but 'seems to me' users need a hint of what the app did on its own … just not popups. I get the same tiresome popup on web-off … 'yes, I know' … 'you told me just minutes ago'.
I'd of put in a small-font notification space in the design. They do that elsewhere (although to be honest, ios18 delivers a massive black panel 'you're not on the web!' for Safari, where previously it was the tiresome popup).
