To change Logos to the beta channel, enter the command Set update channel to beta in the Command Box. (Please see beta warnings and risks.)

To immediately update Logos (if it is already set to beta channel), enter the Update Now command. Otherwise, the app will automatically update the next time it's scheduled to check for updates.

Please read this first if you are updating from 40.2. See details here.

Just for those seeing this post (maybe skimming the Release Notes) and happily going forward to update: It seems there are issues with installing this beta, see

@NB.Mick and others. We made a recent post that addresses this issue plus provides a workaround until the full fix is shipped in 41 beta 2.

I can confirm the workaround in that post works and I'm running 41.0 Beta 1 now

    Hi @Matt Mattox (Faithlife)
Just pointing out that the release notes have:

    • Added the ability to Save as Passge List in Smart Bible search.

    instead of Passage List

    @Matt Mattox (Faithlife) re:

    • First-time subscribers who run a Smart Bible search will be presented with an information toast.

    What is an "information toast"?

It'll look like this. Other toast messages across the app will follow the same UI pattern but with different text. In case you ever need to reference it, calling it a "toast" will be the identifier for our teams. I'll update the release note to remove information before it to not confuse folks that the term is "toast" not "information toast".

@Matt Mattox (Faithlife) Since you opened the door so to speak …

    1. what do you call the tooltip message (parsing) that appears in the lower left (gutter) rather than as a tool tip?
    2. what do you call the hover messages that mimic a miniature Factbook header?

Or perhaps I should just ask how do you classify pop-up information "boxes" so we can speak the same language?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Most likely, if you say "tooltip," we'll know what you mean. Especially if you are presented with some information text after hovering over the UI element. @MJ. Smith

My Beta Channel is still on 40.0.351 and does not seem to update - any thoughts?

Update — simply required my closing and reopening the software

I can confirm the passage list creation works for the smart Bible search.

It also has the added benefit of the addition of verse numbers when the search returns a pericope rather than a verse.

Apparently, calling a pop-up a "toast" has been around since at least 2008. Sadly.

I just tried a Smart Bible Search in the Web App and on Android in hope of exporting results of "Jesu ego eimi" to a Passage List. I don't see this option. User error?
