Removing Bibles from Top Bibles Selection

Hello,

I've searched throughout these forums and online and I cannot find a solution.

What I need to do is remove Bible translations from the parallel Top Bibles selection. Prioritizing isn't how it's done (unless my Logos is broken). I've attached a few images to show what I'm talking about.

Image 1: when I click the multiple book view, I'm giving a choice for "Top Bibles" which include ESV, KJV, CSB, LEB, and ASV to be shown parallel to my default NASB95 translation.

Image 2: which shows exactly those translations when I select "Top Bibles".

Image 3: As you can see, ESV and the KJV are the only versions showing in the Prioritize Books pane so this is how I know prioritizing isn't how one edits / adds / removes translations from "Top Bible" and there must be done some other way.

Logos version is Windows 11 - Logos Bible Study 40.2

Any help or guidance would be extremely appreciated because I'm pulling my hair out.

Prioritize Books is indeed how one edits the translations from the Top Bibles selection. Top Bibles will add the next 5 top prioritized Bibles to the right of the leading Bible. After they have been added, one can remove individual Bibles from the selection by removing the checkmark to the left or rearrange them via drag-and-drop from the Multiple Book View dropdown menu.

In your case, the NASB is your top prioritized Bible and is also the leading Bible in the screenshot you have provided. The ESV and KJV are the only other Bibles that you have prioritized and appear to the right of the NASB according to their prioritization. The other three Bibles are not selected from your list of prioritized books, because you do not have enough Bibles prioritized. If you would like to be deliberate about which Bibles appear here, I would suggest adding more Bibles to your list of prioritized books.

    Hi Aaron,

Either prioritizing is not working or there's another way to remove those translations from that collection. I manually removed all other translations from the prioritized list and they are still showing up in the "Top Bibles" selection for the parallel view.

Prioritizing Bibles is not working in your case because you do not have enough Bibles Prioritized. Is there a reason why you do not want to do this? If you prioritize 6 Bibles, you will no longer see unwanted translations to the right of your leading Bible in Multiple Books View.

I see what you're saying. For some reason I remember being able to manually select which translations I wanted to show up. Maybe it was in a different software that made this ability a bit more intuitive.

I just wanted to use specific translations for verse / word study. I guess I'll just not select "Top Bibles" and create my own specific Bible list.

    I appreciate the help!

You can do this, just don't use Top Bibles. Using the dropdown menu you can select or deselect any Bibles you want. You can also save that list for later use.

Once you have selected the two preferred bibles to compare, then that will be saved going forward. I think that is the best path to get what you want.
