My first reaction to the whole post is it resembles another spam post pushing a 3rd party product.It is probably legit with a Logos email and all.
Phil Gons is in charge of the forums and has previously stated all Logos employees are to carry the official logo under their posts. Matthew Peterson does not display it so we don't know for sure if he is with Logos or selling an add on application. (He would not be the first real Logos employee to forget the logo [:O] )
It is odd they are advertising in the general forums for only 10 positions. You would think they have a long list of churches/pastors in the vaults somewhere.We will see if this is new modus operandi for beta testers........

It almost sounds like this is going to be a subscription service, since it is billed as basically an on-line product one accesses with others on the worship team and you work together to build the service. I guess it may then be downloaded to the desktop app for use in the worship service. Hopefully it doesn't require a live Internet connection during the projection of the content.
Not sure Logos' interest in doing this, but there will have to be some cost-recovery in some way, so I can't imagine it is stand-alone and totally free.

Bob tossed a subscription idea out before. I think he asked, "How much would you be willing to pay monthly for access to everything Logos has, but have it reside on their servers alone?" I think they are already moving in this direction. Biblia.com and the iPad/iPhone app. use online resources already. They just have to set up a subscription service and it is done.

I have raised the subscription question privately with Logos last year. There are many subscription libraries in the academic fields (Jstore & Questia are two I like.)
I have also floated the idea of a non-transferable lifetime "everything access" license. Since I'm not sure my heirs will want the titles I am adding to my library. (Selling a pastor on a license that dies with him is about as popular as burial insurance. [8-)] )

The description of this software in that post said that it is for displaying "announcements, sermon outlines, and songs on-screen to your congregation." I see nothing in that which implies Logos resources would be added to the mix, let alone a site license to access all Logos resources. I could see the use of presenting Scripture on screen, or the pastor's outlines including the occasional diagram copied/pasted from a Logos resource, maybe even a graphic from one of the media resources at times. But I can't imagine any use for presenting on screen a Hebrew lexicon or book of systematic theology or most of the other stuff that comes in a typical Logos library.
As for subscription income from this, though, I see them going in the direction of what HymnPrint.net does: you buy a license for your church and then you can have access to the sheet music or at least the words for any of the hymns in the GIA catalogue. Similar services exist for other hymn and worship song publishers. If Logos develops relationships with various hymn and worship song publishers, the way they do with book publishers, they could become the one-stop source for all projected worship music. Right now, worship leaders have to buy these from different publishers. There is a site, OneLicense.net which gives reprint/photocopy permissions if you happen to already own the music and/or text (in a hymnal or songbook). But if you don't, you also have to find it somewhere on the web and pay to download it. Logos could step into that niche and make life much easier for worship leaders. Subscription-based makes a lot of sense in this realm where tastes in music are changing, and new hymns and praise songs are being written. By subscribing, you could have ready access to all the latest music without selectively having to buy it, unlike the current model with Logos books.
We don't do PowerPoint projection in my church, but we do print off sheets of music for people to read and sing in 4-part harmony. So I would love to see this product have a print feature. This way we could have access to a whole lot of hymns and songs that are not in our hymnal. I doubt they're thinking of building a print feature into it, though. Just like with L4 when it first came out, they probably think people wouldn't use a print feature. But a lot of small churches that aren't high tech would!

While presentation software in church would have a very limited use, I would hope that the sermon outline of the presentation software would be tied into the sermon feature of Logos 4.
