Notebooks

I created a notebook on my laptop yesterday. I do not see it on my iPad or iPhone. Is there something that I need to do to sync my devices? Has anyone encountered a similar problem.

It should sync automatically - is anything else not syncing as you expect it to?

Thanks Graham. It doesn't seem to be syncing. I highlighted a bible verse on my laptop then went to my iPhone and synced data there but the verse still isn't highlighted and the notebook isn't listed in notes.

If you go to documents.logos.com in a browser can you see the new notebook listed there?

If so, it is synching from your desktop but not getting to your mobile devices. If you don't see it, the sync issue is likely on the desktop.

Thanks Graham. The notebook was created on my laptop. I checked my documents on logos.com from my laptop. The notebook is not there. The last notebook was created Mar. 15. It was created from my laptop.

Assuming that your laptop is connected to the Internet as are your iPad or iPhone, can you check in Settings on the desktop that Use Internet is set to "Yes"? Also, click on the Sync button: does it animate?

Thanks Francis. It looked like my Logos program was stuck syncing. I shut down my computer and restarted it. I now have the highlight and notebook on my iPhone. I have just purchased a new iPad. When I set it up it copied my apps from my iPhone. I don't have any Notes documents in my new iPad. It indicates that I am signed into my account using my email. I cannot see how to sync my iPad. What do I need to do to sync it? Should I delete the app and download it again?

If you have a lot of notes, it can take a while to sync the first time. If you look at the toolbar at the bottom of the iOS app, there should be on the right a "more" button. Click on it and scroll down. You'll find "Sync your data" under Settings. If the icon is spinning, it is actively synchronizing. If not, you can try tapping to see what happens.

Thanks Francis. I have a lot of options there but I do see an option to sync my data or anything indicating that it might be syncing. Under notes there are no documents. In Settings I have Accounts, Preferred Bible, Document for Highlights, Reading Reminder and Send Feedback.

What version of the app do you have?

Some of the things you mention remind me of a really old version.

Thanks Graham. I am not sure what version I have. I tried to update it in the app store but now when I open it I get a black screen. I am wondering if it might take a bit to update it.

I deleted the app and reinstalled it and it seems to be working fine now. I also updated the app on my iPhone.
