Let the user control the default behavior

I often happily type my question and hit ENTER, and it goes to the "Search Bible", instead of "Search all". Then I have to retype my question, and remember to hit the right button instead of ENTER.

I feel it would be good if the user could set this/her preference(s) in a manual way.

The same wish also applies to the main slot in the user interface (the one on the top left, it has no name when hovering on it). I normally want to use the passage study layout, and hitting the ENTER may do the right thing, or it may do something else. Manual hard setup would save some time in the long run.

Generally in all available software existing in the world, doing the settings is kind of guesswork and testing. Normally it is not easy to find the settings for a particular feature, in addition the terminology is obscure, and generally there is not much logic supporting the mathematically minded users. Logos could be a forerunner and design a better settings interface.

You can click All instead of returning to the Dashboard?

You mean the slot that is top left if the main app toolbar is on the left? The slot with "Passage or topic" in faint letters, usually referred to as the Command Box? Where we are told that it needs to be trained to do what we want…😉

Dave: You can click  All  instead of returning to the Dashboard?

Veli: Ok, clicking the ALL on the top of the search window. Thanks!

Dave: Where we are told that it needs to be trained to do what we want

Veli: Yes, I have read a rumor that it needs to be trained. But it seems to learn quite slowly, or after an update the learning starts over.
