Inserting personal comments, observations etc., in L4 resources

I'm not sure how difficult this would be, but I'd like to have the ability to insert my own comments, observations or even notes in an actual L4 document.

So if you're reading a book and something tweeks your attention you could insert your comment etc., at that very point and then continue reading. There was a very nice product called iMarkup that gave one the ability to do this on a web page, but it has since been cancelled from production.

Not sure how difficult that would be but I think it would be nice tool to use.

Not really. What I'm thinking is more in line like editing a MS Word doc. Adding your own notes right on the page itself instead of making a note etc.

Note the two following illustrations. I copied Galatians: The Charter of Christian Liberty from my library into Word and then printed the document out so I could read it away from my study. Note that in the below illustration I have inserted, just to make this Suggestion more clear as to what I'd like to see, Gal 2.20 in the Gk. I could have inserted my own commentary if I wanted.
