How to circumvent region restriction to buy resource

I want to buy the book Search the Scriptures in Logos.
However, I get the message: "The publisher has not made this resource available for purchase in your country or region." I live in Europe, so I assume this is available to buy in the US.
Anyone know how to circumvent this region restriction? I cannot find something easily in settings. I tried using a VPN which didn't work. I think it is tied to my account. Sometimes it has to do with the payment method; I am using PayPal as the payment method.
Thanks

Forum regulars know that I personally am very critical of region restrictions and the way publishers try to monopolize the market and prices with this instrument. I also encourage people not to take the easy way out and buy another electronic version that gives the publisher the same or even more royalty income (actually I think the two IVP incarnations seem to be stupid, not malicious, whereas my feelings towards HCCP and their imprints are different and I probably should pray more often for them). That said, I don't think the forums should be a place for advice in circumventing the law.

When an author "sells" a book what they sell is the right to publish in certain formats. There was a case recently where the publisher was unable to provide Logos with the book because they lacked the electronic rights — they only had print rights. Where and how a book is available is a combination of what an author believes to be in their best interests and what the publisher believes to be in their best interests. In most academic fields there are specialized stores that handle bringing books legally across boundaries. While I know sources for a couple of fields, I don't know the Biblical studies equivalent.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Maybe I can ask an (unrelated ;)) question that you hopefully do feel at liberty to answer; how does Logos determine your country? Does your country change when you are physically in a different country? Does it depend on your payment method?

Hi @Bob Matsy,
I have no idea about the app, or if it even does at all, but for the store I assume it is using your IP address.

Do you have someone in the US who could buy it for you? That seems like it would be the simplest way as well as meets the purchase requirement of where the purchase happened.

Thanks for raising this question—it's completely understandable to feel frustrated when a resource isn't available in your region.
That said, we do need to pause the conversation here and clarify that Logos is contractually bound by publisher agreements that govern where and how resources can be sold. These restrictions aren’t something we can override, and we ask that members refrain from discussing methods to circumvent them.
We’re always working to expand access wherever we can, and our support team is the best resource for questions about region-specific availability. You can reach out to them directly at logos.com/contact.
Thanks for your understanding and for helping us keep the community respectful of the boundaries we’re working within.
