Reformat "Outline Formatting" for Desktop App?
Hi Everyone,
I rarely use the web app and prefer to use the desktop app. While doing a quick search on the web app on a word, I noticed the option to reformat a lexicon, this is SUPER helpful and presents the information a lot clearer:
However, I don't see this option available on the desktop app. Does anyone perhaps know if this is available on the desktop app?
PLEASE don't tell me that this is a web app only thing 😅

You're close - it's under the "Formatting" tab to the left of the "View" tab (see the "Reformat" dropdown).

Note I think it might only be available for the DBL and BDAG resources.

Hi @Sean T , thanks for your speedy reply.
I thought so too, initially, but even under "Formatting" the option is not showing up for me:Is it showing on your desktop app at all?

Bummer - yes it is! I'm on Max subscription if it makes any difference.

I'm also on Mac - looks like you're on Windows, but I'd be surprised if they had platform differences like that.

Thanks for sharing! I scanned the subscription packages and I'm on the premium subscription at the moment. There is a "Lexicon Reformatting Dataset" option that is only available to Max users, not sure if this might be it:
Pretty strange then that a Max feature would be available in a Premium user's web app but not the desktop app 😑color me confused! 😅

Oh yep - that's it:
"The Lexicon Reformatting Dataset is used by activating the “Outline formatting” reformat. Open a supported lexicon, click on the “Formatting” and “Reformat” button, then click on the “Outline formatting” checkbox that comes up to put a check mark in the box.Jeffrey Glen Jackson, Lexicon Reformatting Dataset Documentation (Bellingham, WA: Faithlife, 2015)."
I'm surprised it would work on web, though, if they are designating it like that!

Very strange indeed. I've tagged this post as a bug, maybe someone from Logos will see and can clarify.
Appreciate your help @Sean T , God bless!
