I would like to see the note pop-ups function like footnote pop-ups. Currently when you click on one of the small note boxes in a resource it opens the note file to the applicable note. I would like to click on the small note box to "lock open" the pop up so I can hover over any links in the pop up. Then clicking on the pop-up box would open the actual note file for editing purposes.
This: 1)allows quicker access to note hyperlinks 2)avoids opening unnecessary windows 3)maintains focus on the current resource.
While I'm at it, I'm not a big fan of having the highlighting over then entire note. I'd rather just see the little box. I do understand the purpose for it though. I would propose that the highlighting only become visible when the note is clicked and the pop-up window is locked. I could also live with the highlighting becoming visible when hovering over the small note box. Of course, I can also live with the way it is current which is evidenced by the fact that I'm typing this message :-)
