Prayer list: Partial answers?

When you have been praying for an item and God provides what is obviously part of an answer, or something which may turn into the answer but that is not clear yet...
1) Do you record this?
2) How do you record it?
I want to put this in the answers column, but don't want the prayer to disappear from the schedule. I'm hoping others have found a way to use the prayer list that deals with this situation.

I assume you are asking this so that the prayer does not automatically move into the answered section once you enter something in that field. Based on that assumption the only way I know to do this (and have several people and issues I continue to pray for where I have done this) is to add a not to the notes field rather than the answered field. This records the information for future reference, but does not move the prayer to the answered section.

You can put the response in as the answer, create a new item with a note that part was answered and use that new one to go forward. You can add a tag to both so you know they are tied together.
This will probably sound dumb and hopefully not irreverent but that is how I handle software bug and enhancement tickets that find some resolution but are not fully answered so it's how my mind was already set to work on this kind of thing.

Thanks Kaye...I don't understand tagging very well. What would you use for a tag? The date? Or something else?
gratefully;

Esther,
Tags can be used for anything that makes sense to you! They usually provide something you can search on so a recipe for shortcake might have tags of "strawberry", "dessert", etc. A prayer item on your list might have date, requester, topic (marriage, health), "partial answer", etc. I don't use them in prayer lists much yet because I haven't found a way to search and get a list of prayer requests by tag. I tend to add the partial answer to the item to close it and create a new one to continue my prayers on the subject. I have a friend with a lot of physical pain issues. He had some treatments that improved his comfort but there is still a long way to go. I closed out the initial item with the blessing of his pain control and opened a new one to remind me to talk with God about his ongoing needs related to his health. The prayer list is a pretty basic tool but I'm glad to have it back. I missed it when I moved from Logos 3. Now at least I know I won't forget anybody. I'm hoping they'll make it more useful in time - searching on tags, moving an item from one list to another, maybe a few more fields (date, requester). Part of my job is data analysis so I always want more data!
