Bug: Layout Shortcuts Not Updating (4.2b3)

I just noticed this last night, and was able to verify that this is new to 4.2 beta 3.
I use shortcuts for some of my layouts, and since installing beta 3, I've noticed that when I use the "Update to current snapshot" option for a layout, it saves like it is supposed to but my shortcut still points to an older snapshot, instead of the one I just saved.
I can confirm that this is new to 4.2 beta 3 because I had saved a layout yesterday morning before going to work (using beta 2) and I'm able to retrieve that one just fine. After installing beta 3 last night, I've updated a few of my layouts & I can see that they've been saved if I look in the layouts menu, but the shortcut opens up the last saved layout before beta 3 was installed.
Can anyone else confirm this? For the programmers, I'd be happy to provide any additional information you may need, just let me know [:)]

Confirmed.
- Loaded a layout from shortcut
- added tab to a pane
- clicked layouts, clicked Update to Current Snapshot.
- waited for syncing to finish
- clicked on the shortcut again, did not include new tab in pane.
- But when opened from layouts, the layout shows the new tab in pane.
EDIT: i am running 4.2 beta 3

I thought Logos 4 has always behaved that way. If that is true we could suggest it be changed to what we expect it to do.

The only way I have ever been able to get the snapshot icon to update to the "new" version of the same workspace is to drag the newly saved 2nd snapshot to the shortcut bar. Then at some point the earlier one "takes" the new information and they both become identical. And at that point it does not matter which one I delete, Otherwise, yes, the "updated" one in the layouts menu gives you the newer version and the one on the shortcut bar the "older" version.
If this is how it is "intended" to work ... well, let's just say that it is a bit confusing.

I reported this to development in early September. They are still looking into a resolution. I'll add a link to this thread to the case.

It is not just layout shortcuts. Text comparison doesn't "remember" the settings you gave it right before you put it on the shortcut bar. It does match your current Bible reference when you open it so it's probably a trade off.

Thank you, Melissa.
That does ease my mind (ie. that we are not "just seeing" or imagining something, or that "our own" copies of Logos4 are 'mal-functioning.'
Thanks again,.
All the best,
