Current issues experiencing on my iPad:
- On my iPad, the app begins to crash once my library reaches a certain number of downloaded resources.
- Previously, I could work around this by downloading 2–3 resources at a time, restarting after each crash.
- However, it appears that once a certain threshold is reached, the app can no longer manage the downloads reliably.
- More recently, the number of downloaded resources shown on my iPad has stopped updating.
- While I’m still technically able to download resources, they don’t show up in the search results.
- I suspect this may be due to the indexing system no longer functioning correctly after reaching a certain limit.
- The only way to access newly downloaded resources is through the store tab’s search—requiring an internet connection.
- The "Rebuild Index" command has had no effect.
- It seems the index may be frozen or broken once the threshold is passed.
- The recently introduced “Cancel Pending Resources” feature also didn’t help.
- As mentioned, I had reported this issue prior to that feature’s release, and it doesn’t address the root problem.
To reiterate, I’m using a high-spec iPad Pro M1 with 2TB storage. I invested in this device specifically to run Logos on the go—especially in areas with limited or no internet. Currently, however, the app is unreliable and nearly unusable in those situations.
Other apps with far more resources and heavier graphical content work without any issue, so this seems specific to Logos.
I raised this concern months ago and have offered to discuss it further by phone, but I’ve yet to receive a response.
If there is a known technical limitation, I believe users should be made aware that after expanding their library beyond a certain size, mobile functionality may become unreliable.
While I value the new features Logos continues to release, core functionality must remain stable. Unfortunately, the ongoing issues have made the experience frustrating, and my confidence in the platform has diminished.
