I'm quite displeased with the whole "automatic downloads" functionality of Logos 4. I know I can turn off internet access or disable automatic downloads in the settings, but that doesn't leave me with any mechanism of doing version upgrades or adding content. (Note that manually initiating these actions isn't what I'm referring to - it's still being done by the Logos 4 software.)
I upgraded my edition to get a number of new books, and last night Logos started downloading the content. This completely saturated my internet connection (a T1), essentially disrupting any and all other traffic on my network. I had to put my laptop to sleep to stop the download so that we could do anything else on the internet. This is simply unacceptable.
With almost any other application software, I can explicitly control my downloads to avoid this kind of problem. I can schedule them for late at night. More typically, I can use Free Download Manager to execute the download and configure it to keep the throughput below a certain threshold to avoid these kinds of negative impacts.
What's the correct place to make enhancement requests about these kinds of issues? The "Suggestions" forum? Do Logos employees read those and add them to any kind of issue tracking system they might use?
Thanks,
Donnie
