Add anchor to existing note

I'm having a brain cramp. As an illustration, I want to add John 3:16 (ESV only) and John 3:36 (ESV only) as anchors to the note. What is the fastest way to do this? Thanks.

Find the note via the Notes tool and click +Add anchor → Selected text. Next, open the ESV Bible and navigate to the desired reference. Highlight the reference, then return to the note. Click Done. The selected text from the ESV (only) will be added as an anchor to the note.

Thanks! I had done all the steps except clicking Done. I had incorrectly expected the selection to show up in the Add anchor box after I highlighted the reference, but before I selected Done.
