Hello,
In my humble opinion, there has not historically been any great messianic jewish bible translation without serious compromises. My personal criteria are (1) word-for-word translation akin to the ASV / NASB, (2) writing the personal name of the Lord using the Tetragrammaton in Hebrew (יהיה), (3) use of a limited amount of Hebrew transliteration where it really counts (e.g., Elohim, Adonai, El Elyon, El Shaddai, chesed, etc.) without excessively detracting from readability, and (4) not excessively inserting into the Greek scriptures Hebrew equivalents.
There is a new bible version called the New Jerusalem Version (NJV), which is NOT to be confused with the New Jerusalem Bible (NJB), which does exactly that. I received my new Bible in the mail and have been very pleased with the utility of this translation. Can Logos please add this Bible translation to the software either as a separate purchase and/or as a part of the messianic collection?
Thank you for your consideration!
