Trying to get everything onto a new computer

I have the Scholar's version plus later downloads of the NLT Study Bible, Hugh Ross' books, Greek Audio NT, and others. Even though I have tried copying everything over from my main computer to my new netbook there are still pieces missing, essentially the pieces I've obtained through the pre-pubs (like the ones mentioned above). So how or where or what do I do to get this all up to date? I've synced the licenses; do they not include the new stuff?

I've noted occasionally that when I copy a large amount of files some seem to get omitted. Perhaps this is the problem you are encountering. I would suggest taking a flash drive and specifically copying those resources onto it then onto your new computer. Your licenses should be satisfactory.

Thank you got that quick response, George. I have checked the Resources folder and see that all the books I'm seemingly missing are there. I did get the Audio Greek NT working, but the NLT Study Bible and the Hugh Ross collection, even though the books are in the Resources folder, do not show up in My Library.

Did you refresh your resources and restart Logos (twice) allowing it to discover resources? From what you write I take it that the resources simply do not appear. Have you checked specifically for Locked Resources? If all else fails, you might try seeing if you can restore your licenses from a backup of your license file on the old computer or possible even from Logos itself ("Synchronize Licenses").

Refresh resources?

I found the Refresh Resouices (thanks to another post on the forum) and followed your double restart advice and NOW the books I need are there! Yes! [:D]
Thank you. You have saved me many hours of frustration. Next week is the camp program for middle schooler my wife and I lead at the Indian Springs Holiness Camp Meeting. This year we are using the New Living Translation as our text (was CEV before) and I am using the NLT Study Bible for some of my own study. So I didn't want to lose it. Check www.radproject.us if you want to see what happens at the camp.

In "Tools | Options | General" press the "Resource Paths" button then click on the "Refresh Resources" button under the whiteboard where the paths are listed.

Resources may be easily spotted as missing but there could be other pieces "missing". Read and try David Hooton's Libronix Backup and Restore

I recently did the same transfer. There are actually two directories that you need to transfer. The first is the Libronix DLS file that is usually installed in the Program Files directory of your main hard drive. The other directory is "hidden" and located in Documents and Settings. For me, the path is Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Libronix DLS.

Dave,
Also note that when discovering resources it indicates that with "Discovering Resources" shown in the bottom right of your screen, however it is in about a 6 point font and doesn't grab your attention. If you have many files it takes minutes, maybe up to 10. If you move to another screen before it is done you will get the symptoms you are experiencing. By the way, it never states that it is complete, the text just goes away.

It looks like I'm all set. Thanks to all who replied.

It's more complicated than that (you omitted the User files and Preferences folders!) and I recommend an automated approach as per my previous post here.
