Every day I use the BHS with the NASB as a parallel text. The NASB has interlinear settings (circled above). When I turn-on the parallel text (NASB) it looks like this:
It is necessary for me to uncheck five boxes within the interlinear settings:
Then I can read with a parallel text as I wanted to in the beginning:
I have to perform this task every time I
- start up Logos.
- open a new window with the BHS in it
- alter the parallel text (change the text that I'm comparing to)
THE BOTTOM LINE:
I have to perform this unnecessary task anywhere from 2-15 times in a day. I would like for my preferences to be saved so I don't have to keep doing this.
I realize that to save every user preference for every possible pairing of resources (a particular main resource with a particular set of parallel resources) could involve a lot of permutations and potentially become unwieldy (given the implementation of things like the individual fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls as parallel resources), especially given that interlinear settings themselves are resource specific.
SUGGESTED SOLUTION A:
You already keep track of user preferences for interlinear settings on a per-resource basis. Load from these setting when a parallel resource is opened instead of loading for some hard-coded set of defaults! This would be quite sufficient for me.
SUGGESTED SOLUTION B:
Go the full-mile and save a separate (second should be sufficient) set of user preferences for interlinear setting for when each resource is loaded as a secondary resource.
