Book Icons

I'm runing Logos 4 on 2 computers, a laptop, and a desktop in my office. I noticed that some of the book icons, specifically bibles are different then they should be. The ones that are different are uniform They're all midnight blue with the name of the version (NASB) for example in gold letters. There are serveral like that. Is there a way to correct that with an update, or re-install perhaps

Could you post a Screenshot of what you are talking about? Are you saying that the wrong cover art is associated with your Bibles?

I have noticed that too on a lot of books. The icon included in Logos does not match the cover shot shown on the Logos website. NASB is one example, as Jacob mentioned:

There are many others like that, though I haven't taken the time to catalogue them all. I suppose we ought to bug Logos to update the icons properly, along with fixing other metadata.

Thanks for the welcome Kevin. I don't know how to post a screen shot. But Rosie (beneath) was kind enough to post her shots. That is exactly what I am seeing, on my laptop I see the icon with the sword, on my desktop I see Bibles in the exact same format ...Dark blue with gold lettering, the only variations would be the title of the version

Ok Jacob, from your screenshot it's clear that what you are seeing is normal. These inconsistencies in cover art are just something that we all have to live with. Logos hasn't given us the ability to edit cover images. (The shortcut bar shortcuts are somewhat customizable. Right click on them to see what you can do to them.

Yes, Jacob. What you're seeing is that for many of the older resource Logos didn't go to the trouble of creating cover art that actually looked like the cover of the printed book. They just made these boring grey or blue ones with text, enough for us to be able to identify the book but not to be pretty. We'll survive. Most of the rest of them do have real cover art.

Maybe someday they'll give users the ability to add book cover icons to books that don't have real ones (e.g., we could scan them at home if we have the book, or download them from Amazon.com -- if that's not stealing). And if they do it right whatever one user does could be shared with all the rest of us so that in short order we could communally fix all the ones that are missing cover art. I wish we could do this with missing metadata, too!
