Feature Focus: Logos Notes πŸ“

I wanted to share one of my favorite Logos features, and I've seen it make a huge difference in the lives of so many Logos users: Notes. Notes are super simple, but a powerful tool for capturing your thoughts and keeping your insights organized.

Think of it as your digital study journal. As I'm reading through a passage or a book, I often have questions, reflections, or "aha!" moments. Instead of grabbing a separate notebook or trying to remember them, I pop them into a Logos note.

The best part? You can anchor your notes directly to what you're reading. So if I have a thought about a specific verse, my note is linked right there. Later, when I come back to that passage, my original insight is waiting for me. No more trying to remember where I had that thought!

And to keep things tidy, I use notebooks. I create different ones for specific topics, classes I've studied, books I'm studying, or even sermon series. It just keeps all my notes from getting jumbled together.

How have you used Notes in your research? If you haven't yet, give it a try – I think you'll find it makes a big difference in how you interact with your studies in Logos.

How have you used Notes in your research?Β

I LOVE notes! I create independent notebooks for each of my classes, and then I use different colors for each of the notebooks. I also use a specific anchor symbol for notes I create myself, and another anchor symbol containing quotes from various authors. Because of this, I always know what the note is about before I even hover over it. This is important since some verses have a ton of note anchors, but I am able to quickly see what is going on because of this system.

Another thing someone said which has been very helpful, is that I have a unique symbol before ALL of my notebooks, so that even if I download a public notebook, I am always able to quickly know which notebooks are mine and which are ones I downloaded. It is always obvious without that because I recognize my own work, but I like doing this as an extra precaution.

I also love how bolding stays visible on the "hover" view of notes, so I can quickly see the most important parts during class, when I am reading a note while speaking something else at the same time.

Regarding research specifically, I always take the time to anchor everything which needs to be anchored. It can be pretty time consuming to add anchors one by one, but it is for sure worth it since it helps me keep track of specific connections I have discovered.
