Another example to have "hard copies"

I love my Logos software, and have been a great fan for more than 15 years. However, a number of years ago I started a thread using an Answers in Genesis video that pointed out how a group of non-believers used ChatGPT to produce a "biblically sounding verse" to justify a non-biblical and alternate lifestyle. My thought was to remind us that we need to ensure we also have hard copies of Scripture and prominent helps (commentaries, concordances, etc.).

Now comes yet another example. This morning I came across the following article: https://www.westernjournal.com/alert-ai-videos-use-prominent-pastor-push-heretical-teachings/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=daily-brief&utm_campaign=auto-newsletter&utm_content=western-journal . In this article, the author cautions his user that someone is producing fake, AI generated videos of Voddie Baucham supposedly preaching sermons that are contrary to his past opinions and contrary to Scripture.

Regardless of our personal interpretation of a particular passage, we need to ensure that we are not just "rightly handling the word of truth", but that we are indeed handling the word of truth!!! It is apparent that there are those who desire to change God's word to fit their own agenda, and we need to have the truth - God's truth - hidden in our hearts and available on our bookshelves, and not available to be tampered with. Who knows if our electronic copies can be tampered with and altered to comply with society's norms.

It is amazing how heresy can be propagated. So knowing, really knowing, God's word is more important than ever, and having an unalterable copy of that truth is even paramount than before.
