Tagging Books with a Semicolon

I started to tag my books and discovered that Logos will not accept a semicolon in tagging. I thought my keyboard semicolon ; key was not working properly. In looking at the Community Tagging of books the semicolon key was used excursively. After a few days of searching here is what I found:
Logos likely doesn't accept semicolons in tags because they are not typically used to separate tags or keywords in a book's metadata. Tags are usually single words or short phrases, and semicolons are more suited for structuring complex sentences or lists with internal punctuation.
Here's why semicolons might not be appropriate for tags:
Tag Structure:
Tags are designed to be concise and searchable. Using semicolons in tags would likely make harder to parse and search.
Tag Function:
Tags are used to categorize and organize books. Semicolons are primarily a punctuation mark for written language, not for data organization.
System Limitations:
Tagging systems often have specific delimiters (like commas or spaces) that are used to separate tag entries, and semicolons might not be recognized or supported within that framework.
I trust this will save someone time in tagging their books.
