MacOS Tahoe was released today, and I'm pleased to say that Logos 43.0 beta 1 runs. I use Logos 20 hours a week or more for sermon preparation, so if I have issues I will report them here.

That’s great to hear! The iPad app is running great on iPadOS 26. Has anyone tried running the latest production version of Logos on Tahoe?

I'm posting as information, not problem solving.

One time this morning, Logos hung up on quitting, and I had to force quit. The rest of the time it quit without an issue.

So this is exactly what I was looking for. With the exception of some occassional hiccups, you're running Logos fine on MacOS 26 Dev. Beta?

Yes, it's running very well. One other issue I've noticed is that more often than not, the command line isn't responding (I wanted to make sure that I was on the default update channel instead of the beta). Sometimes the command line simply doesn't populate. I hardly use it, so it's not a deal breaker for me.

Not wanting to hijack your thread, but just in case anyone is interested …

Tahoe continues to support some (but fewer) Intel Mac’s.

Tahoe will be the last version of MacOS to support Intel Macs.

iMacs 2020 and later supported. Sequoia supported 2019.

MacBook Air with Intel no longer supported. Sequoia supported 2020 and later Intel.

MacBook Pro 2019 and 2020 certain models with four thunderbolt ports. Sequoia was all 2018 and later.

it is too early to know whether the newer OS will be able to run with open core legacy patcher or not.

As with Sequoia, Apple AI features do not work on Intel Macs.

I have iOS 26 on a spare iPhone can’t bring myself to put it on one of my Macs.

Logos 43.0 Beta 2 continues to function with MacOS Tahoe. I had set the update channel to Default rather than Stable (see below). I now have it set on Stable, so I shouldn't have any more beta releases to contend with.

Note: it is my understanding that Logos has three update channels:

• Set Update Channel To Default or Stable will only install stable versions of Logos.

• Set Update Channel To Beta will install beta versions as they are released.

Once a beta version of the software is installed there are two options for going back to stable installations:

• Set Update Channel to Default will continue to install beta versions until the next stable release, and then no longer install beta versions.

• Set Update Channel to Stable will not install new beta versions; instead it will wait until a stable version is released, and then only install stable versions from that point forward.

If I am incorrect or mistaken in any of this, please let me know.

@Gregory Lawhorn you are close, but there's a small subtle distinction.

The Default "channel" will check for updates based on the type of build, either Stable or Beta. However, during the typical Beta cycle, we ship a few Beta builds (Beta 1, Beta 2, etc) and then we ship a couple of "RC" (release candidate) builds. The RC builds are Stable builds that are released on the Beta channel.

If you use the Default channel while you are on a Beta release, you will get all of the Beta releases up until the first RC build is released. At that point, the application will start checking the Stable channel instead of the Beta channel, and you will miss any subsequent RC builds that are released on the Beta channel.

This might not be a problem for you, but sometimes there are significant bug fixes released on the Beta channel after the first RC build, and you won't see those fixes until the release eventually ships to Stable.
