iOS app sometimes pastes the wrong text for a verse that was copied

This happened to me a few weeks ago and I wrote it off as random, but it happened again last night.

iOS app (iPhone this time, not sure if it was my iPhone or iPad last time)

When copying text (tap to select verse, hit the "Copy" button when the card of available actions shows up), it gives the correct verse reference, but the wrong verse. This is using the ESV bible. An example:

That text is partially from John 18:10 and continues through John 18:11, so almost exactly a chapter off.

I tried copying and pasting several times with the same result. The only fix is to force-kill the app, restart it, then the copying works correctly.

I couldn't reproduce this - using the same text string - but that's not too surprising as you were able to get it working correctly by restarting the app.

If / when it happens again I suggest sending logs to the development team. You can do this from the app menu - select About and Report a problem

I was able to recreate. Not intentionally, I just kept moving around in the iOS app, occasionally copying verses until it broke again over later in the day. Sent the logs in. This time it was 1 Cor 4:7 that got messed up.
