Changed email - are number of posts lost?

Just wondering - I am changing my email off of comcast.net, as they are moving their users to yahoo this year. Do I lose my former post count? I guess with the new forum software that issue no longer happens I hope? Or do I have to call customer service?

Given multiple DMBs I'd assume emails are the unique user ID?

Emails are the unique user ID. However, changing the unique user ID shouldn't really reset the post count. The old forum software must have had a dreadful database design.

Having said that, I've been considering changing my email address too. So I'd like to know too whether the issue persists…
