I had recently turned off the toggle for visual filters to demonstrate how this could be done. Now when I try to turn it back on, it does not function.
I see the same thing in (at least) some Bibles.
I did find that if I shift-click the visual filters icon in the Formatting tab, then the visual filters are turned on again and - subsequently - I can toggle them off and on without any problem.
I did notice most versions do allow Visual Filters, but NKJV and a few others have this issue. Shift-click didn't work for me.
We still have a bug as clicking the icon should work. My issue was with the ESV..
Thanks — we can repro, and we will get a fix on the the way.
Shift-clicking worked for me
Shift-click not working for me.
My VFs were working on my W11 PC a couple of hours ago, but, curiously, on restarting Logos, it was upgraded to V44 August 2025. My LGI VFs are not working but my LHI VFs are still working … but I am not game to turn off the switch to see if it comes on again!
Out of interest:
I presume the interval between the report dates above being a few days ago and mine just going off today may indicate a difference in version release dates for the US and for the rest of the world (I am in Australia). Not a worry either way - just an observation.
I am on a Mac and nothing works to turn it back on. it is the same on all my bibles
I should say that I am on V44 and have tried to start/restart not only Logos but the computer as well. All to no avail.
Hey all, we shipped a new update yesterday that resolved this. If you update to 44.1, this issue should be resolved.
One additional tip from me: for users who usually run Logos on the beta channel, like I do, it's easy to forget that service releases like 44.1 are not delivered to us. To get the service release I had to switch the update channel to stable. After receiving 44.1 I switched the channel back to beta to be ready for 45 B1.
Savanna Lineberger,
Still not working for me. I'd guess I'm doing something wrong, but no matter what Bible I open, the visual filter is grayed out and I cannot turn it on.
Still not working for me.
Hi @Noah Willoughby - just double checking you have applied 44.1?
Graham Criddle,
Yes. I checked that this morning. I'm probably doing something wrong, but even following the steps listed here, I cannot get them to work.
I have tried all the suggestions above, and none of them allow my visual filters to work. My app is updated to 44.2. Will there be a new update to fix the issue?
Hi, @LaKesa Robinson, chances are that the update has downloaded, but not finished installing. Please make sure to close and restart the Logos app to give it a chance to finish the 44.2 installation.
Hi, @Adam Borries (Logos). Thank you for the reply. I have restarted Logos and restarted my computer. Logos says it’s been updated to 44.2, yet I’m still unable to toggle the visual filters on. I even tried holding down the shift key. Still nothing.
I'm sorry this is an issue for you, LaKesa. I've asked our support team to reach out to you for troubleshooting.
