In a Personal Book, What's the difference in the way a link is used?

I have several Personal Books (PBs) that I use and update somewhat regularly. And I've noticed 2 ways in which links to other books can be used. Let me illustrate:

Example 1.

1Pe 1:1 Book Introduction - [[Bible Knowledge Commentary >> logosres:bkc;ref=VolumePage.V_2,_p_837;off=24]]

The above works fine, no problems. When I compile the book and click on "Bible Knowledge Commentary" the resource pops up and opens to 1Pe 1:1. Great.

Example 2.

1Pe 1:1 Book Introduction - Bible Knowledge Commentary.

Now the "link part" is embedded in the words "Bible Knowledge Commentary" and they would actually appear as blue in MS Word.

And again, this example works great when I click on the words "Bible Knowledge Commentary". The resource opens to 1Pe 1:1.

So…. my question is…. is one of the examples above more "dangerous" to use as it may not work in some cases?

Why shouldn't I use example 2 as it is simpler and clearer and without all the link showing?

I use form 1 when I wish to open the highest priority book that contains the reference and form2 when I link to a specific reference.
