If this is the kind of search you want to do, from Search select Books. Below it you will see a link that defaults to Your Books. Click on it, a drop down appears and in the dropdown you will see all your collections. Pick the one you want, and then any search will go only against that collection.

I had erroneously assumed that a sidebar was tightly bound to a panel and that a panel was independent except for consciously added/definitional links. Therefore, I expected all 3 to be called sidebars. What is the distinction that you are making here?
