Can I reorder books in a collection that I created manually (no rules)? Various AI agents tell me to drag and drop to do it, or to rename the resources in the collection with a numerical prefix. Neither suggestion is available. Would it help if I added the books in the order that I want to see them in the collection? Thanks

Collections can not be ordered.

What are you trying to accomplish by ordering? There may be an alternate way to meet your needs.

Thanks for your response. Using the check box on the right to the collections window, I set the collection to show in parallel books. I'm studying the epistle of Romans, and the collection is rifle-focused collection of about 7 commentaries. It's not a big deal, but I would like to go through the commentaries in a preferred order, but the books in the parallel list appearing in random order. That's why I want to change the order.

The order of the books in the parallel list is in priority order. You can use the Library panel to change your prioritization.
