I've just posted some questions on links, based on some questions raised by the Exegetical Commentary on Colossians, but relevant elsewhere. For those not familiar with the Exegetical Summaries series, it's fantastic, rich in links and looks something like this for Colossians 2:23:
QUESTION—What is meant by τιμῇ ‘value/honor/price’?
1. It means value [Ea, EG, LN, Lt, Mou, NTC, TH, TNTC, WBC; NASB, NIV, NJB, NRSV, TEV, TNT]. It is of no account [NIC], of no help [TH].
2. It means honor [Alf, Herm, ICC, Lg, My, SSA; KJV]. The proponents of this doctrine claimed that they had honor [Herm]. These regulations did p 214 not advocate anything worthwhile. They did not advocate that people act honorably at all [SSA]. Observing these precepts was supposed to bring honor, but the only honor it brought was the satisfaction of the flesh [ICC].
3. It means price, a certain price. It was not the entire price. The final payment will be eternal perdition [Lns].

Each set of initials in the above is blue and links to the relevant resource where available. Hovering over a link gives three options.
1. Where the book is not available in Logos, the book info pops up. E.g. Eadie, John. A Commentary on the Greek Text of the Epistle of Paul to the Colossians. Edited by W. Young. 1884. Reprint. Grand Rapids, Mich.: Baker, 1979. (Not available yet, but part of a set on pre-pubs.)
2. Where the book is available and the user has a licence, the pop-up contains a short extract from the relevant section, and clicking takes you there, showing Logos at its best.
3. Where the book is available but the user does not have a licence, a pop up appears with minimal link info. E.g. Lns in line 3 above should link to Lenski's Commentaries, but I do not have a licence for these, so the pop-up merely displays "Colossians 2:23". This is where my questions lie.
My pop-up in case three appears at the bottom left corner of the screen, rather than where the pointer is. This doesn't seem right. Is it normal and if not, can I change it?
The pop-up could be more helpful by showing book info for the book, as it does when Logos does not publish the book (see 1 above). Is this possible? (Should this post be under suggestions?)
Clicking the link in case 3, displays a screen saying "You do not have this resource but you could...". This is good. It then has the resource id. Could this display the book info, perhaps even in extended form, as per the Logos website? (Another one for posting under suggestions?)
The screen then says, "Visit Logos.com" and links to the Logos website. This is good. It tries to find the resource on Logos.com. The problem is that many of the links fail to work. For example, the Alf link, which should take me to Henry Alford's "The Greek Testament", takes me to a redirected best match. In this case, "ALFGRKNT3COM" redirects to search?q=alfabético and displays a Spanish text. This is a great feature when it works, allowing me to consider buying the resource (or adding it to a wish-list when Logos adds this feature to its website). What should I do when it doesn't work? Is this a metadata correction? A website info correction? How can it be recorded and, preferably, fixed?
Thanks for persisting with this rather long post.
