It prompts me to mention how I often get references to other books mentioned by the author as titles I would like to have in my library. Also, other books by the main author become targets for my study. The reason I mention this, is Logos sends out scads of emails suggesting books that I may be interested in reading.
I usually discard these emails without reading them as they have rarely if ever target my interests. The other thing I think that's over-looked is I appreciate a good discount at the very least 20%.
So, what would make you or me buy more books? Follow the rabbit-trail! Discount books that are recommended! Get the books that people are buying in your catalogue quickly, before Amazon eats your lunch!
