I have some 400 pre-ordered books. Most are research books that probably will never see the light of day. I need to have control over how many books I can buy monthly or be bankrupt. That said, I had no books scheduled for August. The only thing I look daily on Logos is the pre-order releases, since there are so many released daily that I'll miss something good if I skip. Luckily, I looked in my list of pre-ordered books yesterday because, out of the blue, 2 books were scheduled to be released today. No warning, no notice, nothing. They were tagged as 'in development' for some time and unscheduled. I bought them, but I'm worried Logos' practices are not up to standards these days. You can't 'bump' book release like this. I like getting my books early as much as anyone, but not like that. If Logos had bumped dozens of books the day before release, with no notice, I would be bankrupt. At least would have to take the trouble of return everything (and lose the pre-order discount).
So, books shouldn't be released earlier with no notice. At least a week to make them noticed and give time to decide if we can keep everything. Some months ago a whole collection was released like that. I had to hurry and cancel everything with only one day to do it (and lost the discount). Logos should change that practice and give some time before any previously unscheduled release.
