Is there a way to watch Mobile Ed courses in faster speeds?

I like to watch YouTube videos in 1.5x or 2.0x speeds. Can you do that with Mobile Ed course videos? I can't find the button. There's a little button in the bottom right with 3 arrows but when I click it, it just puts a line through the arrows and nothing changes.

(running desktop app on MacBook air—and I'm new to Apple stuff so maybe that's the problem!)

I don't have access to my desktop app right now, but on the web app, yes, the setting is at the bottom of the video bar.

I would assume the desktop app is similar.
