I have a few questions about the atlas.

In Accordance what I searched for in the atlas shows up in red (or whatever I set as the search color). Is this possible to do in the Logos atlas? As it is, my search doesn't seem to be distinguished at all.
Sometimes it appears that locations are missing in Logos. For example, Nazareth shows up as a "place" and "town," but the actual atlas just showed the general Mediterranean. That said, when I searched for it again it did show up. Is there a reason it didn't the first time I searched for it? I will show a screenshot of this.
Most importantly, the main thing I use the Accordance atlas for is actually to find rough distances. For example, if I wanted to measure Nain to Tyre, I could hold down a button and it would show the distance as the crow flies, in addition to the general key of how long 5 km is measured at per my zoom level. Is there a way to do those measurements, such as Nain to Tyre, in the Logos atlas?

Thanks for any clarity anyone can provide about this.

1,) I get a little orange circle when I first load the map that draws attention to it and then disappears.
2.) It is not one single resource, but a collection of maps. Selecting different maps from the list on the left shows different views.
3.) You hold down CTRL or CMD to get distances.

Ya, that is how it is on my end also. I guess my actual question is if the circle could stick around, but it sounds like this is just how it is.
I see. Thank you for clarifying this. Is there a trick of knowing which map to click on? For example, to test this I searched for Mount Peor and then selected the "Biblical World - Judges" map which made it disappear. I now can start clicking on random maps to see it again, but none of the potential maps were obvious to which one I should click on. Is there a way to know besides just throwing darts at it?

@Kristin I usually use the Factbook to get to the relevant maps thru the Media section. I tried Nazareth, I never had any trouble seeing the town name. In the Media section I got 6 maps, all six showed the town name, and there was no guessing as to which maps to look at.

The orange dot does flash and go away, but the town name is there so I don't really need it. This may just be a question of what someone is used to, since you come from seeing how Accordance does it?

To be honest, I usually forget about Factbook, so to get to the atlas I opened it from the tools section. In any case, regarding Nazareth, I have found that kind of inconsistent. The first time in my screenshot above it did not show up, while now it does. Furthermore, on that screenshot the map selected is "Biblical World - Life of Jesus" so it seems like it would show on that map, and I am not sure why Nazareth is not included in the "Life of Jesus."

I think Mount Peor is another good example. I can attach a screenshot where I searched for it and the map selected does not show it. (I clicked on the Judges for this example). So from this map, how do I get back to a map which does show it? I tried pressing enter again on the search box but that didn't change the map. So it appears that I should just randomly click on different maps until it shows?

Regarding the orange circle which goes away, I agree with you that my issue is just because I am more familiar with how Accordance does it. I don't really need for it to stick around. What I really needed is the ability to measure distances of random places which I want to measure, so I am very grateful that Logos also has that function.

@Kristin if you zoom in, the map will show Mount Peor. @NetworkGeek's suggestion to go through Factbook is a good one. In that case it, clicking on the pictures from the Media section will automatically zoom in for you.

Hi @Aaron Hamilton, thanks for the clarification, and ya, zooming in did find it. Given what you and @NetworkGeek said, I just tried finding it through Factbook and I can see how useful that avenue would be. I tend to forget about Factbook just because it doesn't come up much with what I do, but I will be mindful to look at it for stuff like this.

Regarding the atlas, is there a way to overlay a modern map? It doesn't appear to be something I can do but I wanted to check.
