Can't clear cover of personnel book

Because one cannot delete personal books, I reuse them when I wish to trash a book. However, while I can change the cover, i can find no way to clear the cover. This forces me to make a dummy cover or live with an inappropriate cover, neither of which are desirable solutions. How do I clear the cover.

I have always used a distinctive blank cover of my own devising (sounds better than dummy cover). One could take a screenshot of the Logos blank cover and use that as a default. But I like them to stand out boldly from real books.
