Greek translation

I finally bought https://www.logos.com/product/233699/the-oxyrhynchus-papyri , and surprisingly, the translation from Greek to English works. I can almost read and understand the Greek text but it helps to have the translation, even when it is not perfect.

I just found out that I already have the Oxyrhynchus Papyri. 😀

I've been reading a book with plenty of links to the resource, but found that none of them worked. So I concluded I don't have access to it.

However, I was wrong. The resources are even downloaded to the device.

Btw, no issue in the desktop version, so there seems to be a bug with the mobile version.

There's an easy and a hard way. The easy one is on the top of my post:

it quotes the whole of the other user's post (keeping formatting mostly intact), even linking to the original
that other user is immediately identifyable (you see it starts with Veli Voipio in blue)
that user is also auto-notified by vanilla that they have been mentioned/quoted
the posting is shown in its entirety (if short) or the top few lines of it with the ability to expand - thus the relevant portion that is answered to may not directly obvious - as in our case here. The quote can't be edited.
it works by simply clicking the button with the quote-marks:

What this easy way can't do is selectively quoting just a portion of the other post, like in that one line from your posting I'm currently reacting to, which is seen directly below that other quote. This works totally different and I call it hard for some reasons.

It works by cutting and pasting the portion that one wants to quote, like the sentence above (which actually sounds easy, right?)
To identify the text as a quote you simply put > in the leftmost position of a line before the quote or in an empty line, alternatively use the "Element toolbar" to the left of the edit field (at least on desktop - no idea if/how this works on mobile) and switch to quoted text - this is the editor function I also used to create a bulleted list
The quoted text is identified as a quote by the vertical bar in front of it:
that this is a quote is clear only if users have seen and recognized this before, or understand that there's a quote from another post, it may be more or less obvious
whether the text identified as such actually is a quote or not is not technically supported, one can type or paste anything and edit such text.
which user authored the quote is not identified. One could work around this by writing " @Veli Voipio just said: " - and only this would tell you that you've been mentioned.
some parts in the quoted text may get lost by pasting (such as the links in my example below) - possibly you will want to edit lost parts back in
some additional empty lines above and below the actual quote quite regularily appear - trying to edit them out may kill the quote identifier altogether, which then has to be inserted back (EDIT: but it seems the forum software won't display these even if they are present in editor view)
